Data Deletion Instructions

You can request deletion of all data Masterz holds about you in any of the following ways. We will complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving the request and confirm in writing.

Method 1 — Email request (recommended)

  1. Send an email to hello@masterz.me from the email address associated with your account, OR include enough identifying information for us to locate your record (Facebook ID, Instagram handle, WhatsApp phone number, or company name).
  2. Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request.
  3. We will reply within 5 business days to confirm receipt and within 30 days to confirm completion.

Method 2 — Through Facebook

  1. Open Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites.
  2. Find Masterz in the list, click Remove.
  3. Confirm by selecting "Send Removal Request."
  4. Facebook will notify Masterz via our Data Deletion Callback. We will process the deletion automatically and email you a confirmation within 30 days.

Method 3 — In-app (for Masterz customer accounts)

  1. Log in to masterz.me.
  2. Go to Settings → Company profile.
  3. Scroll to "Delete account" and follow the confirmation flow.

What gets deleted

  • Your customer record and any conversation threads associated with it.
  • All identity records (Facebook PSID, Instagram IGSID, WhatsApp wa_id, SIP from-URI) tied to your customer record.
  • Notes that internal teams added about you.
  • Tags applied to your customer record.
  • Call recordings and transcripts (if any) from SIP channels.
  • AI reply suggestion records that were generated for conversations involving you.

What we retain

We retain only what we are legally required to retain, and only for the legally required period:

  • Audit logs of administrative actions performed on the account (anonymized — without your personal data).
  • Aggregated usage metrics (no individual identifiers).
  • Records required for tax, accounting, or legal hold purposes (Customer accounts only, not End Users).

If your data is held by a Masterz Customer (a business)

Masterz processes End-User messages on behalf of the businesses ("Customers") that use our platform. If you messaged a business via Messenger / Instagram / WhatsApp and want your data removed from that business's records, you should also contact that business directly — they are the data controller. We will honor any deletion request the business confirms or that comes through Meta's data deletion callback.

Programmatic callback (for Meta)

Masterz implements Meta's data deletion callback at:

POST https://masterz.me/webhooks/meta/data-deletion

The callback receives a signed_request from Facebook and immediately responds with a JSON object containing the confirmation URL and a unique reference code, in compliance with Meta's specification.
